One of our focuses after increasing engineering velocity is to build APIs and bring our primitive onchain, so the builders that are waiting to build on us can get started.

A few of them wrote a few paragraphs on why they need CHOMP

Now Use Case Examples

“CHOMP’s subjective oracle is a critical piece of infrastructure for us, enabling access to the long tail of prediction markets. Many of these markets do not always have an objective answer and rely, at least in part, on the wisdom of the crowd for resolution. Traditional majority voting mechanisms are highly vulnerable to market manipulation, whereas CHOMP’s information collection methodology is designed to be highly resistant to such attacks.

By leveraging CHOMP, our prediction markets can resolve subjective outcomes more effectively, respond quickly to emerging information, and incorporate diversified inputs from CHOMP’s unique user base. This ensures a more robust resolution process by introducing participants who are less likely to have direct vested interests in the markets hosted on our platform. The diversity of human input, combined with CHOMP’s unique methodology, makes it an essential component of Melee’s infrastructure.”

During CHOMP’s experimentation phase, we received an overwhelming number of inbound requests from protocols that would like to create decks and commission information through us, for native advertising, sentiment gauging, and market research.

Below are select examples and quotes from the 40+ teams that worked with us so far, that found value in the information and user experience CHOMP provides.

Other protocols that have worked with us include Brave/BAT, Backpack wallet, DRiP, Sleepagotchi, Perena, Shaga, GREED Academy, RadiantsDAO, Sonic SVM, Genopets, Cudis, Metaplex and more.

After successfully validating CHOMP’s value to businesses, we slowed down on B2B use-cases in this category to focus on growing retail users and building API’s that enable more programmatic B2B use-cases.

Since more user contributions lead to better data—making CHOMP even more valuable to businesses later on.

Future Use Case Examples

“CHOMP’s nature as a subjective oracle and information market lends itself well to an interesting type of statistical arbitrage. Because beliefs of the populace shape reality, the information generated by CHOMP can be used as a signal for low frequency stat arb trades.

For example, consider the question “Will BTC trade above $100,000 in May 2025”. If this resolves to Yes, it indicates that there’s strong bullish sentiment that may not be accurately reflected in current prices. A high-frequency team might spend time building highly curated CHOMP questions regarding the assets they primarily trade. The results of these questions can be used to inform, for instance, a market maker that they may want to adjust the amount of BTC inventory they’re willing to hold on a medium-term time frame. Alternatively, the results of bigger-picture CHOMP questions, such as “Will TOTAL hit $5T in 2026”, can be used as signals to construct much longer term macro trades. A mid-to-low frequency team might dedicate a portion of their book to just running trades like this.”
